A Manufacturing Incubator Not-For-Profit Corporation owns several large properties, which they lease to start-up companies at reduced rates to foster business growth in their area. To manage these leases and tenant payments, they relied on a real estate management system. However, reconciling the data from this system with their accounting software, which also handled other activities like events and workshops, had to be done manually. This reconciliation process could take over a month to complete, delaying the closing of the monthly financials and limiting transparency for the board and senior management. The manual process also introduced a high potential for errors, further contributing to the delays.
