With over 20 campuses and one of the most diverse student bodies in the country, this university system required analytics to increase student retention and graduation rates.

SCALESOLOGY IN ACTION

Several key student performance outcomes were predicted for this university system:

• The completion of student remediation based on attendance in experimental summer classes.

• Four- and six-year graduation probabilities of individual students in the academic system.

• The probability of student performance outcomes based on possible program offerings.
   

RESULT
Using Predictive Analytics, the university system reached out to students that were at risk of not graduating and provided additional mentoring and tutoring before potential problems might occur.  In doing so the University System has increased student retention and graduation rates each year.    ​
